5 channels of sound are broken down into sections known as ‘franken-biting’, the warping of time and mixing the chronological order of delivery. Field recording of a closed pier and the long walk taken from below deck and sections of recordings from other Essex piers. The speaking channels are designed with a historical, influential older voice of reinforcement, contrasting with the future educated challenging voice. These are constantly questioned and remarked interjected with spot interviews and expressions that take the form of a play. The daytrippers provide the challenge it is this demographic that the seaside holds a strong sense of belonging.
